5 quick tips on how to engage your remote workers with Salesforce

5 quick tips on how to engage your remote workers with Salesforce

While some industries require having their employees on-site (at least till the robots become an everyday occurrence), countless businesses have adapted and operated with a remote workforce.

By leveraging the technology tools we have at our disposal today, teams can do almost everything they would do while sharing the same space.

With the majority of companies working remotely, we thought it would be beneficial to give some ideas on how to use the Salesforce platform to continue the transition. This way, you can have a fluid business and engaged workforce while fully preparing for a remote-working future.

5 ideas on how Salesforce CRM can engage remote workers, and their companies too

Read on to find out how to quickly animate your employees, obtain continuous dialogue across various teams and in essence – attain an agile business.

Mass-email with Salesforce

You are probably used to having the Salesforce CRM hold information about your contacts and accounts, but did you know you can also use it to store the details of your employees?

In short, you can create an employee-type contact, and have the employee details stored in the system. Based on that, you can create List views and send out emails to your employees based on specific criteria.

For instance, the Human Resources department can blast emails to entire teams or just team leads. On the other hand, the Sales department can receive emails based on their geographies, or have their updates mass-emailed to them before a new week or a crucial meeting.

Chat on Chatter

We trust you are well aware of the function Chatter has within the Salesforce CRM, but to summarise it quickly: If you want to talk — you #TakeItToChatter!

To keep your employees engaged to the maximum during this time, you can establish Chatter groups to deliver information to a particular group of people.  Additionally, you can use Chatter to stay on top of critical records (whether you are dealing with opportunities, accounts or something else) you can subscribe to that record via Chatter Feed Tracking.

Connect through Salesforce Experience Cloud

To utilise Salesforce Experience Cloud (previously community) when most of your employees work remotely, try building a community around an exciting event or topic, to engage your employees or provide them with information in a more sociable and pleasant way. By nurturing a community consciousness, businesses can show their proactivity and with it, awaken a sense of support.

Subscribe to reports and dashboards

Subscribing to critical reports to stay on top of a particular goal can be a useful tool. For example, reports can keep employees up to date, and also, by subscribing to them, people can receive necessary information before a big meeting.

Collaborate through Quip

Quip is Salesforce’s productivity platform that transforms the way enterprises work together, delivering modern collaboration securely and simply across any device.

Final Thoughts

Maintaining a “normal” working environment quickly became obsolete last year and now we’re all getting used to a new “remote normal v2”. So, to ease the continued transition, we hope you will find something here that works for you.
